Rob Woodall’s British and Irish all-taxa list, 20th March 2010
Rob has seen 2,028 species of plants in Britain, Ireland and the Channel Islands (plus an additional 144 subspecies). With about 300 species of birds, Rob’s all-taxa list is 2,328.
I think there is a tendency when botanising on mountains to scour all the cliffs and flushes around the sides of the mountain and not actually bother to go to the summit. But Rob has bothered, and then some:
British hill summits (minimum 50ft reascent) 6,012 at least
